Across 6x 2 hour online sessions this course will cover the top areas of digital marketing to help strengthen your knowledge and empower your digital presence within online communications. Expand your digital knowledge, understand the full user journey and spot opportunities to grow your business

WHO IS IT FOR?

This course is aimed at those who find themselves working more and more in digital but perhaps have no formal training, or those who know a little but want to expand on their knowledge. This is a practical course with live examples, after the 6 weeks you will know how to navigate social media, social advertising, SEO, content marketing, branding and how to measure success.

Course Schedule

  • Week 1 - Introduction to Digital Marketing, Digital Trends & User Journey
    Digital Marketing Basics looking at the primary channels of digital communication and current trends in the industry. We'll discuss the online user journey and how each channel feeds into it as well as paid, owned and earned channels of communications.
  • Week 2 - Organic Social Media
    A deep dive into Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and Tik Tok with tips on best practise, and how to get your voice heard online.
  • Week 3 - Social Media Advertising
    We'll go step by step through a paid campaign on Meta in real life so you can learn best practise.
  • Week 4 - Brand, Content Creation & Influencer Marketing
    Learn about content best practise in various industries and how to get your brand noticed. We'll talk all things influencers and content creators and the opportunities they provide.
  • Week 5 - SEO and Digital PR
    Let's get a little more technical! We'll look at Writing for SEO, backlinking, how to research keywords, what a good blog and website page looks like and how to get found online.
  • Week 6 - Measurement & Analytics
    We've learnt the tools, now how do we measure if it works? This session will cover insights & analytics across social platforms and GA4 as well as third party resources that could benefit your business.

This course is aimed at businesses and individuals looking to get a firm grasp of digital marketing in order to help them on their digital journey.

How Long is the Course?
  • Weekly two-hour sessions, over 6 weeks 10am-12noon
  • All sessions will be recorded for anyone who cannot make it
Where Will it Take Place?
  • Live interactive sessions will take place online utilising Microsoft Teams. All attendees will be added to the Teams learning group which will also provide access to the recordings and materials used
